A prominent collegiate entity requested a database they could use to track prospective student recruitment. The collegiate entity currently uses a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet, but the data has become so numerous they can no longer retrieve the information needed in an efficient amount of time. By switching to a database, they will be able to search, update, and add records more easily in addition to running reports from pre-made queries instead of taking time to sort records in a spreadsheet.

The Living Lab has taken this project and is working to expand on the qualifications needed. The project student has created the database, created data entry forms that synchronize with the database, and created a user form that allows users to dynamically create a customized query from many of the fields listed in the database as well as reports that will automatically generate the query results while allowing the user control over what information is viewed on the report. In addition, the project student has created a User Manual to answer any questions the client may have about using the application. The project is ready, after final review of the product, to be presented to the client.
