Network Analyzer Software Package Research

The student that worked on this project was asked to gather information on various network analyzer software packages. These packages included Packet Motion, Varonis, NetIQ, S3 Control, Tripwire, and HP. The information that they gathered on each package includes vendor, product, solution, supported platforms, overview, change tracking, registry tracking, database audit, network dev. Audit, active directory audit, centralized alerting reports, event search, change prevention, and image deviation. They entered the found information in a spreadsheet that was the presented to the client.

Living Lab has been a great experience for me to learn daily obligations to maintain a healthy network. I’ve learned independent research is a very important process before network testing is conducted. I’ve also learned that you must have a process to monitor packets flowing in and out of the network.
